All the materials you see on our website are readily available which allows us to offer a very short supply time. Your worktop will be created using the finest quality large slabs of granite that allow the colour, thickness and veining to be consistent throughout the kitchen.

Our Services

What is Granite?

Granite is a light-coloured igneous rock with grains large enough to be visible with the unaided eye. It forms naturally over thousands, if not millions of years from the slow crystallization of magma below the Earth’s surface. Granite is composed mainly of quartz and feldspar with minor amounts of other minerals; usually manifesting in a red, pink, gray or white colour with dark mineral grains visible throughout. Types and colours of granite will vary depending upon the country from which it is harvested.

 

Natural Variations

A Petrologist or Geologist would have a narrower definition of rock formed as granite. Commercially, formations such as alkali granites, granodiorites, pegmatites or aplites are also termed granite and used decoratively. As Granite is a natural product, colours and shades may vary slightly from the colours of the products shown on the website. Additionally this may also be affected by the type and resolution on your computer monitor.
